Furnished
modern loft home available for short term stays in Tucson,
Arizona. Located in the Lost Barrio neighborhood, this spacious
loft is less than a block from the bike path which leads over
the Basket Bridge and Snake Bridge which leads down to 4th.
Avenue and the Hotel Congress, Rialto Theater area. Downtown
Tucson, Fourth Avenue, and the University of Arizona are only
a five minute bike ride away (15 minutes on foot, or five minutes
by car). It's like a Tucson Bed and Breakfast, except you have
the whole place to yourself. You can prepare breakfast, lunch,
or dinner in the full-size kitchen. Or, you can enjoy some
of Tucson's finest dishes at one of the 30 or more "Tucson
Originals" restaurants
that are within 20 minutes of the loft's accessible central
location. Just ask, we can make recommendations if you become
hungry after a long day of hiking, biking or exploring the
Old Pueblo.
"Great accommodations. Spacious,
nicely furnished, and architecturally distinguished, with soaring
loft spaces and matching widows that create a light-filled
environment. Central location that is close to everything.
Owners were helpful, pleasant and accommodating. My first and
only choice if I ever return to Tucson." Dan from San Francisco (our
guest for 3 months)

Upstairs
a Sealy queen bed and nice cotton sheets (300 thread), dresser,
closet, desk, cordless phone, alarm clock and ceiling fan and
this view shows the 12 inch Clarity Glass Block Windows they
face the western sky and let in nice light late in the day.
Ultra plush charcoal gray carpeting soft on your feet.
If you have not slept in a open loft style designed home, you
should try it. It really opens up your sense of place when
your not crammed into a little box with walls surounding your
bed. If you leave the blinds open on the windows facing
east, the sunrise paints the ceiling a bright orange and yellow
it’s
the way I like to wake up I highly recommend it. Want it hot or cold
we have central AC with gas heat and its brand new so it works great. |

My brother, sister and I built this building
and live next door in similar loft style designed homes. We thought
of this idea 15 years ago after visiting similar loft units a
block north of here, it has just taken us a while to buy the
property, get plans though the city and actually complete the
construction. We have another lot next door and will build 2
more buildings in the future. We love this neighborhood as it
is close to downtown Tucson, Fourth Avenue and the University
of Arizona.
We are North of the train tracks and Aviation Corridor so we are much more accesable
to U of A, 4th Avenue and downtown. We are in the same general
area of the Ice House Lofts although they are south of the Tracks.
We are also close to the Barrio Brewery and the 17th. Street
Market (15 minute walk) and eventually all the vacant land north
from us is going to be turned into a new Pima County Park with
walking paths and ridding paths.
We are close to downtown, so you are not sitting
in traffic waiting to get to where everything is happening. We
are close to the U of A, so every once in a while I walk down
to the Center for Creative Photography (NW on U of A Campus at
Speedway) and check out the new show, or I listen to an art,
photography or architecture lecture around campus. We are close
to Fourth Avenue, the Congress Hotel, and the Rialto Theater.
I like to see live music so most of the best touring bands play
at the Rialto, Club Congress, Plush or the Red Room, these locations
are 15 minutes away. The 17th. Street Market a 15 minute walk
west of here over the Basket Bridge has lots of high quality
fresh produce and fresh fish there is also Safeway close by.
We are close to Roma Imports an Italian Deli, two blocks away
(five minute walk) they make all these home made pasta dishes
you can eat there or buy frozen pasta and bring it home to make
it yourself, its all heat and eat food that tastes great. We
used to eat there every day when we were building these places.
Toolies is another restaurant that is really close, in the
Lost Barrio area of South Park Avenue. Between downtown, fourth
Avenue and the University there are more than 30 Tucson Originals
restaurants all within 20 minute of here and I'm not talking
Chain Restaurants but really good places owned and operated by
local Tucsonans.
We have lived in Tucson since 1971 and are
active hikers and bikers, we have vast knowledge of Tucson and
what there is to do around here. If you're up for it, we would
be more than happy to take you on a hike or bike ride just let
us know what you would like to do, there are all levels of activity.
We have two bikes which are available for use, but you would
need to bring your own helmet and gloves if you use those while
riding, they are mostly just for cruising around the neighborhood,
downtown or 4th Avenue. If there are other special events going
on in town we will let you know whats happening in Tucson while
you are here.
