Realization
In its simplest form, the term realization means to acknowledge your own reality.
A realization can be triggered by many events, but usually a realization begins
while re-evaluating your life. Sometimes the loss of a relationship, a loved
one, or the loss of ones own health will trigger the start of the realization
stage.
Many people believe they have an endless supply of time and years to live, the
life they dream of is a winning lottery ticket somewhere in their future. When
you experience a dramatic loss in your life, you begin to realize, today is your
future and tomorrow may never come. Who you are today and what what you do
today,
this is your life. A realization can occur without loss and suffering, sometimes
occurring when you are going through time transitions, your birthday, the
start of the new year, or anniversaries. If
you
have
noticed
yourself
asking
these
questions, they originate from your realization.
Where is the
life I have dreamed about? What is missing?
Where are
my feelings of fulfillment, self worth, excitement for my career, who are my true
friends?
What do I
really want and need in life? Do I feel deeply connected to anyone or anything?
Why did I
give up on my dream? How did I give up on my dream?
Do I choose
to settle for what my life has become?
What is important
in my life?
The lack of passion
in your life is creating these questions in your thoughts. You cannot be happy,
satisfied or fulfilled, without some type of passion in your life. Your life is
shouting at you, wake up and begin to listen. The point you begin to look at your
life and ask yourself these questions is called your realization. If you can answer
these questions and are happy with the answers, you have successfully navigated
the realization stage.
